Robert A. “Bob” Schrage, age 92 of Marshfield died peacefully Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Well’s Nature View with his family by his side.

The family will be having a private graveside committal service in the future.

Bob was born March 27, 1928 to Albert and Irene (Schalow) Schrage at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, where he remained an active lifelong member.

He graduated in 1946 from Marshfield Senior High School and became a member of the Army National Guard for six years.

Bob married Sally Sommers at Christ Lutheran Church April 11, 1953. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2019. Sally died on May 2, 2019.

Bob worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory from 1947 to 1957. He then went on to work at Felker Brother’s Corporation as a fabricator from 1957 to 1991 before retiring. Bob bought a lake lot in Woodboro, WI where he built a cabin which he and the family enjoyed for 42 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, bowling in several leagues, traveling, and watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Badger’s games.

Bob is survived by his sons, David Schrage and Randy (Kim) Schrage of Marshfield. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Lauren (Keith) Sandrini of Wausau and Olivia (Joel) Krasselt of Chili and his great grandchild, River Rose Krasselt. Bob is further survived by his sister, Jean Miller of Overland Park, Kansas.

Bob was a kind and caring man with a gentle demeanor. To know Bob was to love Bob and he will be missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Well’s Nature View and St. Croix Hospice for all of the tender loving care for the past 18 months.
