Marshfield Motor Speedway to host John Brevik Classic

MARSHFIELD – The CWRA Stars to Legends Tour will make a stop at Marshfield Motor Speedway on July 11 for the premier of the John Brevik Classic.
Brevik who passed away recently is noted as a “prolific winner” on the CWRA circuit in the 1960s and 1970s. He drove the 7-11 numbered race cars throughout his career – also the date of the “first annual event.” John is also the father of track promoter, Wayne Brevik.
The CWRA Super Late Model portion of the program will consist of qualifying and two 30-lap Feature races, with all the top stars competing, including tour points leader, John Beale, Verona; Mark Mackesy, Wausau; Jeff Weinfurter, Wisconsin Rapids; Paul Paine, Mound, MN; Putch Bentley, Iron River, MI; Monte Gress, Neillsville; Dillon Mackesy, Athens; Brett Breitenfeldt, Wausau; Harley Jankowski, Sparta; and Mike Sievers, Wisconsin Rapids.
Over 20 CWRA cars are expected to participate in what promises to be a very competitive night of racing in honor of a popular CWRA racer.
In addition to the CWRA group, Midwest Trucks, Xtreme 4s, Bandits, 2 Man Cruisers, and Skidders will be racing on the night.
The event will also feature fireworks and kids night activities.
Fan gates open at 5:30 p.m., with qualifying set for 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
