Marshfield to host fireworks, with a few changes

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield’s annual recognition of our country’s independence will go on, but with a few changes.
The Marshfield Common Council voted unanimously on June 1 in favor of allowing the annual fireworks display originating from the fairgrounds, but there will be no crowds in the grandstands, no food stands, or kids’ activities.
The council rejected a recommendation to keep the restrooms closed to the public because of social-distancing concerns raised by COVID-19. Alderman Ken Bargender said the use of restrooms would have to be allowed in order for him to support the event.
Bargender said:
Festival Foods sponsors the annual fireworks displays in a number of Wisconsin communities, including Marshfield.
