Fravert to play pro basketball in Europe

Marshfield’s Adam Fravert will play pro basketball in Europe next season. Fravert is signing a contract to play for a team based in Holbaek, Denmark in the Danish Basketball League.

Holbaek plays in the Danish league first division and was 13-6 when its season ended in March due to COVID-19. Holbaek won the first division championship in 2019.

Fravert just finished his senior season in the men’s basketball program at UW-Oshkosh.  He averaged 18 points and nine rebounds per game as a senior at Oshkosh last season, and shared the WIAC men’s basketball player of the year award.

He was a key member of the 2019 Oshkosh team which won the NCAA Division III national championship.

Fravert Is a 2016 graduate of Marshfield High School, who earned two varsity letters in basketball and two in football.

Provided that games are allowed this fall, the Danish League will begin its season in mid-September.
