Katzenberger is National Merit scholarship recipient

EVANSTON, IL – Marshfield High School’s Tyler Katzenberger is among the recipients of this year’s National Merit $2500 Scholarship program.
The 2,500 Merit Scholar designees were chosen from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. Scholarship winners are the finalists in each state judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. The number of winners named in each state is proportional to the state’s percentage of the nation’s graduating high school seniors.
Tyler S. Katzenberger is a senior at Marshfield High School, with plans to pursue a career in urban/city planning.

His scholarship is underwritten by the Mead Witter Foundation, a private, charitable foundation headquartered in Wisconsin Rapids. The foundation is funded through endowments from the Mead family of Wisconsin Rapids.
Katzenberger is the son of Jodi Johnson and Scott Katzenberger, of Marshfield.
