WOOD COUNTY – A 59-year-old Marshfield man and 48-year-old Spencer woman are dead after a May 14 two-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on State Highway 10 at County Highway K in the township of Auburndale.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a pickup truck driven by a 32-year-old Stratford man was going west on State Highway 10 when he collided with a southbound car on County Highway K driven by the Spencer woman. She and her passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup driver and his passenger – a 30-year-old Arpin man – sustained minor injuries. The names of those involved are being withheld pending the notification of relatives.

The crash remains under investigation.
