MARSHFIELD – May 6 is National Nurses Week and Kelly Greene is using her nursing “superpower” to provide care at St.Croix Hospice.

Greene

Kelly Greene started her “dream job” in October 2019 at St. Croix Hospice in Marshfield as a massage therapist, after working 20 years as an RN. Shortly after starting the job, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and Greene’s manager, Cindy Beyer, asked her to use her adeptness to step back into her nursing role as a case manager for the company.

In her new role as a hospice RN case manager, Kelly serves patients at private homes, assisted living facilities and, nursing homes, placing her on the front lines of caring for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic

While transitioning in her role, Kelly said she is “enjoying her interactions with her patients” and adds, “We always have a journey in our lives, and this seems to be the perfect journey for me, to transition into hospice.”
