STRATFORD – May 22 will be the last day of scheduled educational correspondence in the Stratford School District.

“The last six days of our calendar May 26 – June 2 will be set aside to collect materials and distribute things out to students,” Superintendent Scott Winch said in a release. “The principals will be using the parent teacher scheduler to schedule families into the building.

“We are assuming that we will be at least partially lifted from the Stay at Home Order and we will allow seven families at a time into each building, if we can’t do that we will quickly organize this into a curbside pickup. Your building principal will share more details for the students in each of their buildings.”

May 15 will be the final day for senior class students.

“Congratulations to them, certainly has not been the ideal ending to their high school career but we will find a time to celebrate their accomplishments,” Winch added.

Graduation is now scheduled for July 24 at 6 p.m.

“We are hoping that we will be able to have a full ceremony but will adjust if needed. We are also looking at the potential for the ceremony to be at the football stadium, especially if we need to spread folks out to keep social distancing,” Winch explained.
