Smith announces his candidacy for 69th District State Assembly

LOYAL – Michael Smith, of Loyal, has announced his candidacy for the 69th District State Assembly.

Smith, and his wife Jeannie, have lived in the Loyal area for the 10 years, operating several small business – Grandma’s Kitchen and Motel, Town and Country Acres Mobile Home Park, Hilltop Bar & Grill, Destiny Trucking, Destiny Farms, and Mad Hatters Pyro-Technics LLC,

Smith worked for the Mitchell Metal Products Company for 12 years, retiring in July 2018.

Before moving to Loyal, Smith lived in Rock County, working in the Circuit Courts Branch VII, in addition to serving as municipal judge.

Smith currently serves as volunteer EMT/Firefighter for Loyal and provides back up first responder assistance coverage in Greenwood.

“Michael is committed to utilizing that experience and education in areas of Business, Agriculture, Emergency Medical, Judiciary Law, Law Enforcement, Correctional, transportation, small and large businesses, working towards the development to better fund our schools and the economic growth to our communities,” a release from Smith said.
