MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Board of Education will get a new member. Dan Neve has won a seat currently held by Dorothy Chaney, who finished third in a three-way race for two seats in the April 7 election.

Neve

Incumbent Mark Konrardy was the top vote-getter with 4,365 votes in winning reelection. Neve came in second with 3,338 votes, while Chaney lost her seat by getting 3,049 votes. Neve will take his seat on the board in May.

Pittsville School District results

In the Pittsville School District, Nathan Bowden and Mandy Hoogesteger were the top two vote-getters among four people running for two seats. Bowden got 800 votes, while Hoogesteger came in second with 547. Julie Strenn finished in third place with 516 votes, while Melissa Marti came in fourth with 488 ballots. Hoogesteger and Marti currently hold the spots on the board. Bowden is new to the Pittsville School Board.

Pittsville School District voters also said yes to a $6.7 million referendum for new and improved buildings and programs. The money will cover land acquisition, the construction of a new facility for career, technical and agricultural education, and capital maintenance improvements at the elementary and high schools.
