Your emotional health

Schedule your day

Emotional health experts say that scheduling your day during these times is essential. Write a schedule and set a few goals. If you do not have anything work-related or home improvement projects, try cooking a new recipe or writing a letter to an old friend or relative.

Keep your sleep and hygiene routines

Maintain your regular sleeping hours – too much or not enough sleep can affect your mental health. Shower and dress as you normally do.

Plan social interaction

Social distancing doesn’t have to mean social isolation. Schedule a phone call or try a video call. Try the free Zoom app to talk with family and friends.

Get outside

Go for a walk outside, while maintaining social distancing. Get out and move around. Sitting for long periods of time can cause fatigue and depression.

Try to get up once an hour and walk around for a few minutes.

Take time to breathe

Breathing exercise can sometimes decrease anxiety. Something as simple as turning on some calming music and taking deep breaths can reset stressful feelings.
