As we navigate through the ever-changing COVID environment, we will provide information on developments, regulations, and programs surrounding the outbreak.

Creating a personal action plan

Disinfecting your home

Create a daily plan for disinfecting your home. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily, including tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks. If surfaces are dirty, use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.

Discuss needs with family and friends

Share any current needs and any special needs should you need to isolate or if diagnosed with COVID-19.  When needed, reach out to friends and family to assist you with grocery shopping and essentials. Don’t be afraid to ask, especially if you are in the high risk category.

Create and share an emergency contact list

Create a list including key family members, personal physicians, neighbors, and employers. If you have pets, note the name of those willing to take care of them.

Food and supplies

While there is no need to have an overstock of food, preparedness experts have suggested having a two-week supply of food and medical supplies on hand, in the event of quarantine.

Central Wisconsin county numbers

As of April 9, central Wisconsin county numbers were: Adams – positive cases, 2; negative cases, 67; deaths, 0. Clark – positive cases, 7; negative cases, 88; deaths, 0.
