WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wood County Riverblock Building will be closed to the public effective April 6.

“This is being done to preserve the health and safety of our staff and clients while continuing to maintain the ability to provide essential services, including our response to COVID-19,” county officials said in a release.

“This decision was difficult to make as we know the services provided by Wood County are important for many community members. Services will continue to be provided through alternate avenues, but at this time we are reducing our direct contact with the public,” stated Wood County Board Chair Douglas Machon.

Staff is available by phone for appointments and questions at: Health Department, 715-421-8911; Human Services, 715-421-8600; Land Conservation, 715-421-8475; Parks & Forestry, 715-421-8422.
