Isabelle M. Leffel passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at House of Dove the morning of Friday, March 27th, 2020, at the age of 93. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Isabelle was born February 13th, 1927 in the town of Marshfield to Charles and Theresa (Schneider) Hasenohrl. She attended St. Johns Catholic School and graduated from Marshfield High School. She was united in marriage to Myron J. Leffel,  October 23rd, 1951 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hewitt, WI. They celebrated 52 years of marriage prior to his passing on January 10th, 2004. They attended St. Johns Catholic Church of Marshfield.
Isabelle was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for many years until retirement. In her younger years, she and Myron enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Musser Lake in Phillips, WI, with their children. She was also a member of PCCW, Parrish Counsel of Catholic Women and volunteered her time for various duties within the community. She was an avid player of sheepshead and cribbage and enjoyed getting together with many of her friends. She also attended bingo gatherings around Marshfield, and enjoyed watching game shows and assembling puzzles when at home. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is missed greatly and survived by her children, Danny Leffel, Alan (Laurie) Leffel of Marshfield, Jane (Scott) Thompson of Hewitt, and Todd (Laura) Leffel of Marshfield. She is further survived by her eleven grandchildren, Michelle (Kale Kernz), Tyler (Natalie) Leffel, Kristin Leffel [Alan and Laurie] Jordan (Carissa Mitten), Alyssa (Trevor Torpen) and Courtney (Josh Johnson) [Jane and Scott], and Breanna (Dalton Wilfinger), Payton, Isabelle, Aiden, and Fallon [Todd and Laura]. She additionally has 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, Kayden Pataska (Thea Opelt Pataska)
One sibling, Donald (Kathleen) Hasenohrl of Pittsville, still survives as do 2 sister-in-laws, Rita Hasenohrl of Green Bay and Tina Leffel of Marshfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her granddaughter, Alison Leffel. Her siblings which passed before her included Ann, Eleanor, Karl, Othmar, Millie, Vicky, and Maryann.
Isabelle, known by many as Izzy, had a kind, gentle personality, a strong family bond, and a tenacious and witty sense of humor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law.
We would like to thank the nurses and doctors who cared for our mother, especially at Three Oaks, hospice nurses and House of Dove staff. Thank you for your care, compassion, understanding and thoughtfulness. We really appreciated each of them.
Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
