MARSHFIELD – The popular PBS television show “Around the Corner with John McGivern” will feature the city of Marshfield in an upcoming episode, and executive director Scott Larson from the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce and Industry says the air date for that episode has been announced for April 16 at 7 p.m.

According to Larson, the PBS show “concentrates on showing unique things going on in different places here in Wisconsin.”

The show was filmed in September, and Larson recalled that area restaurants and food industry were just a few of the things highlighted.

“Some of the businesses that they made stops at were our cupcake eatery and bakery. They stopped at Nasonville Dairy, and The Kitchen Table restaurant.

“They stopped at Marshfield Clinic, Marshfield Furniture, Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Jurustic Park, and they made a visit to our Wildwood Zoo and talked with the zookeeper.”

A free pre-screening of the show will be held at Hotel Marshfield on April 15 at 5:30 p.m., and the program’s host and producer will be on hand for that event.
