MARSHFIELD – A forum on “Fair Maps” will be held March 11, to provide information for the April 7 Wood County referendum question.
The presenters are Dr. Ed Miller, professor emeritus, UW Stevens Point; Wood County District 8 Supervisor Jake Hahn; and Ann E Stevning-Roe, Marshfield attorney and plaintiff in the Whitford v. Gill redistricting litigation.
Wood County voters will see the following advisory referendum on their ballot: “Question: Should the Wisconsin Legislature create a nonpartisan procedure for the preparation of legislative and congressional district plans and maps?”
The next Wisconsin redistricting will occur in 2021 after the 2020 Census is completed.
The forum will be held at the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, 105 S. Maple Ave., Marshfield, in the J.P. Adler Room on March 11, 7-8:30 p.m.
