Marshfield’s Holland dominates gymnastics sectionals

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield gymnastics team traveled to Eau Claire to participate in sectionals on Feb. 29 and took home second place.

The Marshfield team had a score of 138.5000. The Holmen team took first, with a score of 139.9250. Stevens Point placed third, with 139.000.

Gracie Holland took first in the beam, uneven bars, vault, and all-around. She placed second in the floor exercise.

State qualifiers

Balance Beam: 1, Gracie Holland, Marshfield; 2, Katelyn Trowbridge, Stevens Point; 2, Hannah Verhulst, Holmen; 4, Harley Bartels, Holmen; 5, Chloe Wingert, Chippewa Falls.

Vault: 1, Gracie Holland, Marshfield; 2, Kamryn McNally, Holmen; 3, Riley Hinke, Chippewa Falls; 3, Chloe Wingert, Chippewa Falls; 5, Annabella Campbell, Eau Claire.

Uneven Bars: 1, Gracie Holland, Marshfield; 2, Caelen Lansing, LaCrosse; 3,  Katelyn Trowbridge, Stevens Point; 4, Kamryn McNally, Holmen; 5, Chloe Wingert, Chippewa Falls.

Floor Exercise: 1, Caelen Lansing, LaCrosse; 2, Gracie Holland, Marshfield; 3, Harley Bartels, Holmen; 4, Kamryn McNally, Holmen; 5, Chloe Wingert, Chippewa Falls; 5 Riley Keene, Stevens Point.

All-Around: 1, Gracie Holland, Marshfield; 2, Caelen Lansing, LaCrosse; 3,  Kamryn McNally, Holmen; 4, Chloe Wingert, Chippewa Falls; 5, Katelyn Trowbridge, Stevens Point.

The WIAA State Gymnastics Tournament will be held March 6-7 at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School.
