MAPS to host first Whiskers & Wags

For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD –Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS) will host its first “Whiskers & Wags” fundraiser on March 26, 6-9:00 p.m., at Hotel Marshfield, 2700 S Central Ave., Marshfield.
The event will feature the theme “MAPS Uncorks the Wine,” consisting of wine tasting, appetizers, and live music with “joe g.”
“We’re moving through a year of transformation and kicking things off with our new fundraiser, Whiskers & Wags. We’re excited to introduce this new event with the hope it will become an annual gathering for the amazing community supporting us,” said Patti Rahn, MAPS board president.
Funds raised at the event will help support the day-to-day operations at MAPS’ intake facility and adoption center. Last year, MAPS helped hundreds of local animals find “forever homes,” thanks to the support of the local community.
“MAPS will uncork the wine, food, and fun! We’ll have delicious food pairings to the wine, live and silent auction items, a cash bar featuring our signature drink the ‘Old Fashion Danny Boy’ and live music to dance the night away,” said Rahn.
Marshfield Area Pet Shelter is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer-based organization serving as a humane shelter for the greater Marshfield area. MAPS is currently operating in a temporary home on West 29th Street in the former airport terminal building and at an Adoption Center within Marshfield Mall.
