Marshfield curlers compete at High School Curling Championships

MARSHFIELD – The Wisconsin High School Curling Championships were held on Feb. 14-15 at the Wausau Curling Club, with two Marshfield High School girls teams competing.
On Friday, the “Spindler rink” played against Pardeeville and won and played DC Everest in the afternoon and lost.
On Saturday morning, the Spindler rink defeated Poynette in a hard fought game. With a three-way tie in pool play, Marshfield won a shootout with Pardeeville and D.C. Everest.
The Spindler rink made it to the semifinals and lost to the Portage girls team.
First was played with Ally Dietsche and Abby Boushack, second was Cierra MacArthur, third was Emily Sautebin, and the skip for the team was Gracie Spindler.
The “MHS Weis rink” played Mosinee on Friday morning and lost. They then played Kimberly and lost.
On Saturday morning, the Weis rink played Portage and lost.
First was played with Jerica Mueller and Brooklyn Boushack, second was Allie Geiger, third was Kate Schilling, and the skip for the MHS team was Anna Weis, with Claire Critelli.
