WAUSAU – The Wausau West Warriors boys basketball team hosted Marshfield for a Wisconsin Valley Conference game on Feb. 18.

Marshfield dominated the first half and had pulled away to a 27-15 lead going into the second half.

Wausau West came back to fight in the second half and was able to outscore the Tigers. The rally wasn’t enough for the Warriors though, as they fell to the Tigers 61-56.

Amillion Buggs led Wausau West with 19 points scored. Mitchell Zahurones added 15 points for the Warriors.

Marshfield’s Anthony Posteluk went high with 27 points scored. Joey Goettl put up another 14 for the Tigers.

Marshfield stayed behind D.C. Everest in the conference and a half game ahead of SPASH. Their record improved to 8-3 in the conference.

Wausau West is now 0-10 in the conference.

Marshfield travels to take on Eau Claire Memorial on Feb. 22. Wausau West will head to Stevens Point for a conference game on Feb. 21.
