Neillsville girls are conference champs

MARSHFIELD – Neillsville played Columbus on Feb. 17 and cemented their spot atop the Cloverbelt East Conference.
Columbus hosted the Warrior girls basketball team who haven’t lost a game since Jan. 20.
Neillsville was able to continue their winning streak after beating the Dons in the low-scoring conference game, 38-22.
Alli Schoengarth led the night by putting up 14 points for Neillsville.
Neillsville closed out the regular season with a 15-1 record in conference and 19-2 overall.
Columbus finishes 9-7 in conference and 10-11 overall.
Both teams will play Feb. 22 in a Cloverbelt Conference crossover game.
