WAUSAU – Police are seeking two men in connection to a shooting in Abbotsford that left one victim injured.

The shooting took place on Feb. 16 at about 1 p.m., at an apartment in the 400 block of Swamp Buck Drive in Abbotsford, according to a Colby-Abbotsford Police Department news release.

Officials say the victim in the shooting arrived at Aspirus Medford Hospital, which prompted a lockdown at the facility. Hospital officials later lifted the lockdown and the victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was treated and released.

Surveillance footage at the scene of the shooting shows two men leaving the apartment armed with handguns, police said. Those men have been identified as Carlos Santiago-Gonzalez and Joennval Moctezuma-Torres, according to the news release.

The vehicle the men were in has been located, but the men remain at large.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is urged to call 715-223-2313.

Police are calling the shooting an isolated incident and say there is no immediate danger to the public.
