Stratford girls fall to Auburndale

STRATFORD – On Feb. 11, the Stratford Tigers and the Auburndale Apache girls basketball teams faced off in a Marawood Conference game at Stratford High School, where Stratford fell to the Auburndale team.
The game started out close but Auburndale found their stride halfway through the first half and led the game at the break, 23-12. The Auburndale girls outscored Stratford in the second half as well to win the game, 41-26.
Natalie Aue led Auburndale in scoring, with 13 points.
Stratford was led by Breanna Ackley, who scored 12 points for the Tigers.
Stratford’s record falls to 5-4 in the Marawood conference and Auburndale’s record improved to 10-4.
Stratford will travel to take on Rib Lake on Feb. 14. Auburndale will face Athens on Feb. 14.
