RICHLAND – In a game where the Marauders were able to see all nine players score, UWSP at Marshfield had their way with UWP – Richland on Feb. 1 in Richland.

Coming in on a three-game winning streak, the Marauders came out fast to make sure they continued that streak. The Marauders were able to build a big lead in the first five minutes before Richland made a run to narrow the gap to under 10.  That would be the last time they would see single digits. The Marauders used a suffocating defense and a fast-paced offense to control the game. A strong inside power game helped the Marauders to a 51-32 half time lead.

Coming out of the half, there was no let down this time as the lead quickly grew to over 30 points. With the game well in reach, the Marauders slowed the pace down to close out the game.

For the first time this year, the Marauders were able to hit the century mark during the 100-56 win.

Leading the way for the Marauders was Joe Fields (Obama SCTE) with a season-high 26 points and 12 rebounds. Ethan Posteluk also enjoyed another double-double, finishing with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Sawyer Stuttgen (Colby) finished with a season-high 14 points. Jack Bezlyk (Spencer) chipped in with 12 points; Joey Miller (Columbus) with 11 points; Jamie Lewis (Obama SCTE) with eight points; Colton Wright (Auburndale) and Roger Zeledon (Lincoln HS) each had six points; and Matthew Roth (Colby) with three points.
