Columbus girls overpower Granton

MARSHFIELD – The Columbus Dons girls basketball team traveled to Granton High School on Jan. 28 and dominated the game for a win.

Columbus only allowed Granton eight points in the first half and 10 more in the second half to notch the Cloverbelt conference win, 59-18.

Leading the Dons in scoring was Annika Brown, with 11, and Jenna Kibbel with 10.

Rhiannon Reimer and Megan Walter each scored seven points for Granton.

Columbus’ record improved to 7-4 in the conference. The Dons will host Northland Lutheran on Jan. 31 and then travel to Owen-Withee on Feb. 4.

The Bulldogs record falls to 0-10 in conference play. Granton will play Owen-WIthee on the road Jan. 31 and then on to Gilman for a Feb. 4 game.
