PITTSVILLE – Pittsville wrestling hosted Manawa on Jan. 16 for their final home meet of the season. Before the meet began long time coaches Dan Hahn and Rick Winters were honored for almost 30 years of coaching together for the Pittsville wrestling program. They both announced they will retire after the 2019-20 season.

The meet itself came down to the final match between Manawa’s Bryce Bartel and Pittsville senior Evan Dammann. Dammann won the match in the final moments of the match, tying the score 36-36. The meet winner was decided by the team that scored the most pins/forfeits for the night. Pittsville had seven to Manawa’s six, giving Pittsville the tie-breaking point and the meet win, 37-36.
