Marshfield hockey nets loss to Wausau West

WAUSAU – Marshfield boys hockey traveled to Wausau on Jan. 9 where they lost to Wausau West.
Scoring for Marshfield in the first period was Sawyer Schindler with an assist from Payton Smith. Marshfield’s second goal came in the third period from Max Heller, assisted by Sawyer Schindler.
“(Wausau) West is a talented team and we are happy with the effort that we saw tonight,” said Marshfield Head Coach Eric Bowman. “We have a week until our next game, and will work to correct some of the small mistakes that have been leading to goals against”.
Wausau West stays at the top of the conference leaderboard with an 11-2 record overall and 4-0 in conference. Marshfield falls to 7-6 overall, 2-2 in conference.
Marshfield’s next action is against SPASH on Jan. 16 in Stevens Point. Start time is 7 p.m.
