WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A 48-year-old Kentucky woman charged with arson with intent to defraud, for starting a fire in a home in a Marshfield mobile home park, has been sentenced.
Marshfield firefighters responded to the fire at 2215 S. Maple Ave., Lot 461, on April 17. According to the criminal complaint, Tracy Hoover was evicted from the park five months earlier, for not paying lot fees to the park.
Hoover owned the mobile home and asked two others to start the fire, while she was being evicted from the park. Records state that Taylor Dickman and Eric Foth allegedly started the fire in a bedroom.
Hoover was found guilty and sentenced to 90 days in jail with three years of probation, on Jan. 13 in Wood County Court.
Foth was found guilty of negligent handling of burning material and criminal damage to property in August. Dickman is due in court later this month.
