Marshfield School Board approves changes to 2020-21 school calendar

MARSHFIELD – Students in the Marshfield School District next year will get out for the summer one day later than originally planned.
The Board of Education last night made a slight revision to the 2020-21 calendar, which board member Dorothy Chaney said now reflects the last day of school as June 3 instead of June 2.
“It’s important to note that spring break week has not changed, so that date is set,” Chaney said. “In fact, there is going to be an additional half-day on the Friday before Spring Break. So, those of us who travel might not have to miss a half day prior to spring break – for the students, but the teachers will be working. And, the first day of school, again, is going to be September 1st, so it has not changed.”
Spring break will fall during the week of March 29 of next year, and graduation for the next academic year will be May 29, 2021, starting at 11 a.m.
