Marshfield boys go 1-1 in two OT games

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Tigers boys basketball team went 1-1 in two overtime (OT) games, while playing at Waunakee High School in the Ab Nicholas Tournament Dec. 27-28

Marshfield faced PIUS XI Catholic on Dec. 27. The game was tied 28-28 at halftime and ended 46-46, forcing overtime. The Tigers were able to outscore PIUS XI in overtime, winning 55-51.

Anthony Posteluck scored 20 points to lead the Tigers, with Joey Goettl adding 13 points,

Marshfield faced Waunakee on Dec. 28 and ended up in another overtime situation with a 43-43 tie at the end of two periods. This time Marshfield came up short in overtime and lost to Waunakee 53-52.

Leading the Tigers in that game was Goettl with 13 points. Posteluck and Addison Hill each added 12.

Marshfield will travel to D.C. Everest High School on Jan. 3 for a conference matchup.
