New Dollar General coming to Marshfield

MARSHFIELD – A new Dollar General store will replace Marshfield’s long-time Family Video at 707 North Central Avenue. Representatives of both companies say the new Dollar General will also encompass the current Marco’s Pizza, which has already closed its doors.

Family Video, which opened its Marshfield branch 20 years ago, will end its operations on Jan. 16, with final rentals issued on New Year’s Eve.

Construction on the new Dollar General outlet will start soon. The business will lease the building from the parent company of Family Video, the same scenario which played out in Wisconsin Rapids earlier this year.
