Fraud
On Dec. 10 at 8 a.m. it was reported that there was an unknown individual who tried to open up a bank account and line of credit in another person’s name. The complainant stated that whomever it was had first taken his phone number, so that his phone no longer worked, and used the phone number to open a credit account.
December 14, 2019
Unwanted messages
On Dec. 14 at 7:27 a.m. a male reported receiving a text message from a 45-year-old Marshfield male. The messages called the man derogatory names and referred to his wife. The alleged suspect was contacted and his phones were inspected. There was no indication that the suspect’s phones had been used to send the messages. The complainant was advised to report any further messages and block the number.

Possible threat
On Dec. 17 at 7 a.m. the manager of a Marshfield supermarket reported that a note stating “Bomb 01-01-20” had been found written in the bathroom of the store by a female employee. It is unknown when or by who the note was written.
