Auburndale girls roll at Phillips

MARSHFIELD – The Auburndale High School girls basketball team won 68-47 at Phillips on Dec. 20.
The Apaches (6-2, 1-2) went into halftime with a 37-24 lead, and outscored Phillips 31-23 in the second half to provide the final margin. Georgi Schmutzer recorded 17 points and five rebounds, Natalie Aue had 17 points and four rebounds, Hailey Grimm finished with 14 points and five steals, and Isabelle Hilber totaled 11 points and seven rebounds and six assists.
Auburndale also went on the road and won 50-32 at Nekoosa on Dec. 13. Kaitlyn Kundinger totaled 10 points, 11 rebounds and five steals; Aue scored 12 points, and Schmutzer added nine points and four rebounds.
The Apaches won 42-41 at Edgar Dec. 10, as Schmutzer had 13 points and seven rebounds, and Aue finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.
