MARSHFIELD – Adults ages 55 and up are invited to attend UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield’s second annual “Winter One-Day: All Things Wisconsin” on Jan. 8, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The day will feature multiple presentations about Wisconsin topics including: Curly Lambeau and the Packers, cheese, Frank Lloyd Wright and Wisconsin architecture, and Wisconsin slang.

Celebrate Wisconsin with presentations by professors, authors, and industry experts.

Discover Frank Lloyd Wright’s most impressive accomplishments and the best architecture to visit in Wisconsin. Learn about Curly Lambeau, the man who brought us the Packers and whose name is synonymous with football history during the early years of the NFL. Explore phrases and accents associated specifically with our home state, such as “stop & go lights,” “bubbler,” and “yous guys.” Finally, taste test some cheese and discuss the dairy state’s cheese industry.

Registration deadline is Jan. 3. Fee includes a light breakfast and Wisconsin-style lunch of brats, beer cheese soup, potato salad, chips, and dessert.

Register online at www.uwsp.edu/pal or call 715-346-3838.
