Marshfield hockey blanks Tomahawk 11-0

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield High School hockey team got out to a 3-0 lead at Tomahawk, on the way to an 11-0 win on Dec. 17.
Josh Gruen, Ben Lawyer and Payton Smith each scored a goal in the first period to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead, while Sawyer Schindler had two goals in the second period and Gruen had another to increase the lead to 6-0.
Damyon Hains scored two goals in the third period and Evan Weister, Smith and Nick Urban each added one to close out an 11-0 win, as AJ Trierweiler made 15 saves in the shutout.
