Auburndale pulls away in overtime to beat Edgar

MARSHFIELD – The Division 4 eighth-ranked Auburndale High School boys basketball team rallied in the second half, and then pulled away in overtime to win at Edgar on Dec. 17.
Edgar led 29-20 at halftime, before the Apaches came back in the second half, as the game went into overtime tied at 49-49. In the extra period, Auburndale went on a 17-2 run to win 66-51.
Cooper Weinfurter was 4-of-6 on three-pointers and finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists; Hunter Wright totaled 20 points and six assists; and Schuyler Gilhausen had 14 points and six rebounds to lead the Apaches. Brayden Baumgartner scored 18 points, and Kyle Brewster scored 11 points to lead Edgar.
