MARSHFIELD – Enjoy the music of the holidays at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield Music Department’s annual “Celebrate the Season” concert, on Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Helen Connor Laird Theater, 2000 W. 5th St., Marshfield.

In addition to performances by the Marshfield Symphony Orchestra, the UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield Chamber Choir and the Community Singers, the concert will include special guest performances by soprano soloist Elizabeth Dahlby and choir students from Stratford High School.

The groups will present music from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” and other holiday favorites. Dahlby, who teaches music and choir at Stratford High School, will join the Marshfield Symphony Orchestra to sing Grammy-winning composer Eric Whitacre’s version of the classic children’s book “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown.

Tickets may be purchased at tickets.uwsp.edu or at the theater box office the night of the concert.
