Jeannine Drinsinger, 79, of Granton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 2, 2019 at her home.

Jeannine Margaret Huebner was born on July 6, 1940 in Mankato, MN the daughter of George and Eleanor (Lichte) Huebner. They came to Pleasant Ridge and Jeannine attended Kurth School. She was a graduate of Zion Church Elementary School and a 1958 graduate of Granton High School. On March 7, 1959 she was united in marriage to Alfred Drinsinger. Together they owned Spaete’s Locker in Granton from 1978 to 2006.

Jeannine was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church, where she served in various capacities. Her past accomplishments included taking care of the Granton Sports Complex and helping with the annual Park Picnic. She was a frequent visitor to the Granton Library and a member of the Granton Rotary.

She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting (and her family was generously enriched by it) and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Germany, Las Vegas and camping in Wisconsin. One of the family’s most cherished memories is of the hand-made, personalized ornaments she lovingly made each year for, first the grandchildren and more recently the great grandchildren. Jeannine will be dearly missed by her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Diane (Gary Fergot) Drinsinger, Peggy Drinsinger and Nancy Drinsinger, one son, Dale (Janice Kallian) Drinsinger, five grandchildren, Beth (Mark) Peckham, Patrick Schmidt, Ben (Jamie) Collins, Amanda Drinsinger and Dennis Johnson, six great grandchildren, Mason, Chase, Jordan, Gavin, Gus and Kristopher. She is further survived by a sister, Betty (Greg) Mallory and two brothers, DeWayne (Anita) Huebner and Ronnie (Deb) Huebner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred in September of 2012, her parents, grandparents and cousins.

Private services will be held with the family.

Online Condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Jeannine’s family with funeral arrangements.
