Burns Insurance collecting coats, toys, and personal care items

MARSHFIELD – Burns Insurance Agency LLC is collecting coats, hats, mittens, boots and other cold weather gear for people of all ages and sizes.

The business will collect winter gear Nov. 18 – Dec. 20, accepting new or gently used items at its 500 S. Central Ave., Marshfield, location.

Burns Insurance is also spearheading a holiday toy collection for children residing at the PDC Orenda Center – a domestic abuse shelter for women and children located in Marshfield.

New and unwrapped toys may also be brought to the Burns Insurance office.

With all of the rooms occupied, PDC also needs personal care items for both adult and child residents, including: shampoo/conditioner, body wash, deodorant, face cleanser, toothpaste/mouthwash, contact solution, feminine hygiene products, basic first aid items. Donations of non-perishable food items, coffee pods and basic household supplies, such as paper towel, toilet paper, laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets, are also welcome.

Both collections run until Dec. 20.
