MARSHFIELD – Over $58,000 was raised to end domestic violence, along with drug and alcohol addiction, in the lives of women and children during the 11th Annual Marshfield Iron Chef/Silent & Live Auction – “Treasure in Jars of Clay.”
The annual fundraiser for Shirley’s House of Hope began with a silent auction and appetizer contest between local chefs. Each guest sampled the appetizers and voted for their favorite. The chefs were given a secret ingredient and 30 minutes to prepare an entrée for the judges.
Judges were Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry Program Director Debbie Bauer, Wood County Sheriff Shawn Becker, and Cornerstone Pastor of Worship Arts & Adult Ministries Nate Carter.

Chef Michael Vanatter, from Marshfield Clinic Health System, won the Best Presentation Award and the People’s Choice Award. Chef Jack Godwin, from Hotel Marshfield, won the Best Flavor Award. Chef Brian Rank, from Holiday Inn, won the Most Creative Award.
The event was held in early November at RiverEdge Golf Course, Marshfield.
