MARSHFIELD – A Halloween tradition continued in Marshfield last night, when hundreds of ghosts, goblins and other creatures and characters invaded West Fifth Street, as part of their annual pilgrimage to Marshfield’s trick-or-treating hot spot.

Brad Millerbernd is the newest neighborhood resident, and was experiencing his first Fifth Street Halloween.

Each year, approximately 1,300 trick-or-treaters converge upon a seven-block stretch of Fifth Street between Schmidt and Oak Avenues. The city made the decision a number of years ago to close that area to through traffic as a safety precaution.
