MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Tigers soccer team slammed Ashwaubenon in an Oct. 17 nonconference matchup at Heiting Community Stadium.

The Tigers led the game from the 12:49 mark, when Spencer Frey connected on a goal, assisted by Kyle Tremelling. Sam Roherty added another goal, assisted by Alex Giles, at 17:11.

That’s when Ashwaubenon came alive, scoring at 23:01.

But that would be Ashwaubenon only goal, as it was all Marshfield after that with goals from Brian Fay, assisted by Ian Haugen, and Kyle Tremelling. Roherty added two more – one with assistance from Spencer Frey and the other by Ian Haugen.

Marshfield had 35 shots, with 27 shots on goal, while Ashwaubenon had six shots and four shots on goal.

The Tigers will host Green Bay Southwest, on Oct. 22, in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal.
