MARSHFIELD – Answer the call of the Northwoods by joining Paul Bunyan and Marshfield’s Chestnut Center for the Arts for an evening of fun and entertainment. The Chestnut Center’s signature fundraising event, “Lift Up the Arts”, is set for Oct. 17, 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Hotel Marshfield.

This year’s event, themed “Paul Bunyon and Loggers of the North Woods,” promises a wide variety of entertainment for all in attendance. The evening includes the classic country music of “West of the River,” as well as live and silent auctions. Auction items range from art items and a Chicago Cubs package, to one week’s stay in Arizona.

Other events include: lumberjack games, a wine cork pull, and a 50/50 raffle. Comfortable attire is encouraged, possibly including your favorite flannel shirt.

Tickets are available on eventbrite.com or by contacting the Chestnut Center at 715-389-8999, office@chestnutarts.org, or at the door, if available.
