MARSHFIELD – The seventh annual Remembrance Walk was held Oct. 5 at Wildwood Park & Zoo.

The annual event is held to all babies that were lost during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly after birth, and to help “raise awareness of pregnancy and infant loss.”

The walk started at the playground shelter and ended at the pier by the observation tower.

The event included ceremonial grass with paper attached that disintegrates in water. Families were asked to write a note to the baby they lost on the paper. The grass was later tossed into the upper pond in a moment of remembrance.
