Marshfield yard waste, leaf, brush, and branch collection dates announced

MARSHFIELD – City of Marshfield yard and waste collection and brush and branch collection dates have been announced.
Yard waste and leaf collection
Collection runs Oct. 7-10, with additional dates on Oct. 21-24 and Nov. 4-7.
All yard waste and leaves must be enclosed in “Kraft” brown paper bags or a reusable container. A reusable container is defined as any container constructed of metal or plastic with a capacity not exceeding 30 gallons, a loaded weight of not more than 50 pounds, a tight fitting lid, and handles of adequate strength for lifting. A cardboard box is not considered a reusable container to hold yard waste or brush.
Brush and branch collection
Collection runs Oct. 14-17.
All brush and branches must be bundled and tied in one-foot diameter bundles not to exceed four feet in length or can be placed in a reusable container in lengths not to exceed four feet or six inches in diameter.
All materials should be placed curbside the night before or by 6 a.m. the day of; it will be picked up separately from your garbage during designated weeks.
City of Marshfield residents may also drop off yard waste, brush, and branches 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no charge, at the compost site located at 18th Street and Hume Avenue in Marshfield.
