Colby class of 1967 celebrates 70th birthdays

SPENCER – Twenty-eight Colby High School classmates and 10 spouses and friends met Sept. 7 at Nutz Deep II in Spencer to celebrate their 70th birthdays.

Those attending included: Ruth (Kaiser) and Bob Blume, Steve Brown, Bonnie (Kloth) and Bob Svoboda, Sue (Loos) and Terry Schilling, Kaye (Miller) Jeske and Larry Jeske, Gail  (Viegut) Underwood and Duane Underwood, all of Colby; Judy (Allar) Palmerton and Russ Palmerton and Diana (Bessler) Werner, of Abbotsford; Myra (Amacher) Huempfner, Appleton; Chuck and Cindy Jantsch, Athens; John and Sue Becker, Auburndale; Steve Jicinsky, Baraboo; Kathy (Lamont) Harris and Jim Harris, Lone Rock; Ken Cole, Marathon; Aaron and Donna Staab and Wayne Kayhart, Marshfield; Linda (Sommer) Krebsbach, Mosinee; Betty (Bragg) Seefeld, Port Washington; Lilli (Neuman) Weis, Unity; Jim and Maureen Mantor, Wausau; Ervin Ellenbecker and Sheryl Hamilton, Wisconsin Rapids; Galen and Diane Fitzel, St. Paul, MN; MaryAnn (Johnson) Trabandt, Colorado Springs, CO; and Evan Mierkey, Zephyr Hills, FL.

Classmates enjoyed appetizers, dinner, and a large birthday cake. Emcees for the evening were Aaron Staab and Jim Mantor.

The class will meet again in 2022 for a 55th class reunion.
