WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A Chili woman is dead after a motorcycle she was driving was struck on State Highway 54

On Sept. 18, at about 3:30 p.m., Deborah J. Johnson, 68, was exiting a Grand Rapids driveway on the 6800 block of Highway 54. Johnson turned to head west when her three-wheel motorcycle was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 30-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman.

Johnson and her husband, Ron, 73, a passenger on the motorcycle, were transported by air to the Marshfield Medical Center, where Deborah passed away.

No information was available on the husband’s condition. The driver of the vehicle was treated and released,

The crash remains under investigation.

The Grand Rapids Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wood County Sheriff’s Department, and Wood County Sheriff’s Rescue assisted at the scene.
