Assumption tennis defeats Columbus Catholic

NEKOOSA – The Columbus Catholic (CC) girls tennis team traveled to Nekoosa to take on the Wisconsin Rapids (WR) Assumption Royals tennis team at the Sand Valley Golf Course on Sept. 10. The Royals won the meet with a score of 6-1.
Singles results were: No. 1 – Maria Hartley, WR, defeated Ryleigh Mcgiveron, CC , 6-1, 6-1; No. 2 – Kate Eithun, WR, defeated Helen Voss, CC, 6-0, 6-0; No. 3 – Maria Laura Garcia-Moya, CC, defeated Carly Hintz, WR, 7-5, 6-1; and No. 4 – Julia Drewiske, WR, defeated Declyn Tracy, CC, 6-4, 6-4.
In doubles competition: No. 1 – Abbi Berard – Araya Elsen, WR defeated Alison Skrenes – Angela McQuillen, CC, 6-3, 2-6, 10-1; No. 2 – Kendall Schmidt – Izzy Jungworth, WR, defeated Catherine Kitzhaber – Maya Kuhn, CC, 6-3, 6-2; and No. 3 – Ebony Zacker – Madison Pecher, WR, defeated Alliah Immerfall – Eva Schiferl, CC, 6-4, 6-1.
