Clark County ICC to host family festival

GREENWOOD – Clark County families are invited to a festival for children, toddlers to age 12, hosted by the Clark County Interagency Coordinating Coalition (ICC).
The event will offer a variety of educational materials and activities to promote health, wellness, and access to resources, with over 20 free interactive booths sponsored by Clark County organizations and agencies. At each booth children will be able to participate in hands on projects, such as DIY Edible Soil Layers, Make Your Own Wind Chime, Corn Pit Scavenger Hunt, Make Your Own Crown, Bike Helmet Safety, Germ Buster Challenge, Make Your Own 1st Aid Kit, and more.
In addition to the booth activities, there will be a photo booth, and plenty of outdoor fun, including a bounce house, a Greenwood Police vehicle, a Greenwood fire truck and ambulance, an ATV safety display, Little Convincer seatbelt display, and a Ninja Warrior course.
Each family will receive one educational book to take home. There will also be 10 grand prize drawings for children, three youth ATV helmet drawings, and two grand prize drawings for parents at 1p.m.
A breastfeeding room will also be available.
Food items will be available for sale at a low cost in order to allow families to stay throughout the day. Free milk, cheese, and cotton candy will be provided.
The event will be held Sept. 21, 10a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Greenwood High School, 306 W. Central Ave., Greenwood.
