PITTSVILLE – Pittsville football notched a win against Pacelli in a Sept. 6 conference matchup at Pittsville High School.

Pittsville’s Eli Fox started off the scoring in the first quarter, and followed it up by running in a two-point conversion.

Pacelli matched that with a touchdown of their own, but a two-point conversion failed, leaving the Panthers ahead by two.

With 4:41 left in the first quarter, Fox ran in another touchdown, followed by another two-point conversion, ending the quarter with Pittsville on top 16-6.

Pacelli then pulled ahead, 18-16, with two touchdowns and two failed two-point conversions in the second and third quarters.

Pittsville answered with another touchdown and a two-point conversion ran in by Fox.  A Matthew Kissner pass to Fox added another six points, but was followed up with a failed two-point conversion.

With 1:09 left in the third quarter, an 18-yard pass from Kissner to Landyn Wayerski, added six more. With a failed conversion attempt and a scoreless fourth quarter, the game ended with Pittsville on top 36-18.

The Panthers will next travel to take on Almond-Bancroft on Sept. 13.
